Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth need to be removed when they do not fully erupt into the mouth. This is what’s known as impaction.
For some people, wisdom teeth impaction can cause severe pain and discomfort. Others try and manage moderate pain, instead of going to the dentist. But getting your wisdom teeth removed does not have to be an ordeal. At Thompson Road Dental Services, our friendly staff can examine your wisdom teeth and guide you through the best process to getting them removed.
Simple impactions can be managed in the dental chair under local anaesthetic. While more complex tooth impactions are best treated under general anaesthesia as a day procedure in the hospital. Of course, if you prefer to be asleep while teeth are removed, that can be arranged too.
If you are suffering due to wisdom tooth pain or aching, it is best to see a doctor, as avoidance can lead to more issues. Thompson Road Dental can help determine which method of treatment is right for you.
